The listings are on Upcoming and Facebook – if you’d like to add yourself to say you’re coming then people will know to look out for you.

For this month’s meet up, we’ll be supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

The meet-up will go on as per usual, but we’ll also be collecting for the good cause so have some pennies at the ready if you’re feeling generous. We’d love to collect as much as possible, so please spread the word and invite your friends.

We get a good mix of people coming along, so if you want to talk about something in particular then there’s probably someone else who wants to do the same – chats about alternate reality, coworking spaces, how to improve council consultations have all gained traction at the BSMC.

Thanks to everyone who came down for the Birmingham Social Media Cafe this morning – a good turnout with some new faces, some good chats and (dare I say it) a couple of interesting opportunities emerging for one or two people. That’s what we like to (over)hear!

The next meet-up will be at the same time and place on Friday 24 September, with a few exciting extras to be announced – details will be up soon.

You’ll be asked to sing for your supper drinks – nothing too tricky, but you might be asked to give a leave a tip for how a community organisation or charity might use social media to help achieve their aims.
